Lessons of War a play that teaches the meaning of peace

In the bicentennial year of the nation, Fred Leo wanted to
commemorate the Vietnam War. So he decided, “I will ride my
bicycle across the nation and see the country whose freedom
and liberty me and fellow soldiers fought for.”
It just so happened, that the nation was going to dedicate the
first Trans American bicycle route called the BikeCentennial.
(photo left top) Joining the ride, Fred Leo started pedalling
from Jamestown, VA on Mother’s Day.
He would ride for 39 days covering 4,250 miles at an
300 miles in two days and twice 200 miles a day.
Fred Leo would be the first person to ever complete the
entire route riding against the prevailing winds from the
Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
